Ballern 0:00 CONC Doire Trasna

The seniors travelled to Doire Trasna for their final league game at Lisnagelvin but it proved to be a wasted journey as the hosts were unable to field a team. That was disappointing as the players were looking forward to a game with the championship quarter final coming up against Slaughtmanus next Sunday. This game is at Celtic park with a 1-30pm start and it will be a difficult one against a very good Slaughtmanus team.

U16 – Ballerin 2:17 1:05 Callann Gaels

The under 16’s scored a comfortable win over Callan Gaels in the first round of the B championship by 2-17 to 1-6. It was tight enough in the first half when the score was 1-7 to 1-3. Some great play from Dean Hyndman, Cairan Mullan, Ben O’Kane, Ryan Deighan and Shane McIntyre gave Ballerin control in the second half a period in which they out scored a battling Callan team by 1-10 to 0-2. Shane McIntyre got the first half goal and the second came from a well struck Ryan Deighan penalty.

The team and scorers were Dylan Mullan, Hugh O’Connell, Daniel Walton, Dean Hyndman, Ciaran Mullan, Ben O’Kane 0-2, Conor McAleese, Oran Bradley 0-2, Ryan Deighan 1-0, Shane McIntyre 1-2, Daire Mullan 0-2, Seoirse Harkin 0-3, Killian Mullan 0-4. Sub Matthew Connolly 0-1.

On Thursday the quarter final is away to unbeaten Loup.
