Ballerin 2:04 0:05 St Marys Slaughtmanus

The seniors qualified for the final of the James O’Hagan Cup for the second successive year when they beat the holders Slaughtmanus in a low scoring game on Friday evening under lights. Both teams showed a lot of changes from last year’s decider. Ballerin now play Steelstown in the final after Steelstown had a 1-16 to 0-13 away win over Craigbane.

A first half goal from Leigh Ferris gave Ballerin a narrow 1-1 to 0-3 interval lead. Liam Brown hit the second goal midway through the second half and the defence stood firm as Slaughtmanus put on the pressure.

Ballerin scorers Leigh Ferris and Liam Brown 1-0 each, Eugene Mullan 0-3 and Bobby Mullan 0-1.

The team line out was Damien Cassidy, Shea Doherty, Brian Deighan, Shane Ferris, Stephen Mullan, Pascal McKay, Mark Ferris, Gareth Mullan, Anton Bradley, Bobby Mullan, Eugene Mullan, Peter McGinley, Liam brown, James Cassidy, Leigh Ferris. Subs used Callum Bradley, Stephen Bradley and Sean Ferris.
