U14 Girls Football team set off for FÉILE

Our U14 Girls Football team set off for FÉILE PEILE NA NÓG 2018 this morning (Friday 29th June), leaving Shamrock Park at 10:30.

Pop up and give the girls a good send off!

We wish our under 14 girls football team every success as they travel to County Meath for the All Ireland Fiele which runs from Friday to Sunday of this week. They will be guests of St. Mary’s Donore who are based about three mile South West of Drogheda. These committed young girls have done the club proud this season and they will be determined to make their mark in the Feile. Last Saturday a member of the team Eabha Mullan represented Derry in the Fiele skills competition at Croke Park. They are paired with St. Mary’s Donore and Hertfordsire a GAA Club formed in England in 1960.

Feile run ends at Cup Semi Final

Our Feile team did us proud today but just couldn’t get the scores to win their Cup Semi Final, we where beaten by Creatlach from Clare who went on to win the final. Buffers Alley (our host team) had a similar fate in their Semi Final.

Unlucky girls it was a fantastic couple of days, you showed skills to match any team in the competition and should fear no one!

We wish Buffers Alley a safe trip home, we really enjoyed having you for the weekend. We continue to strike it lucky with like minded visiting clubs.

A BIG THANK you to Melinda and Katrina for the work they have put in over the past few months preparing for Feile and to all who helped out over the weekend. ‪#‎UTS‬
